I hesitate to post a review for Accelerations Learning Center because most of their business comes from word-of-mouth referrals by happy clients.  I don’t want the word to get out to the general public because they are already pretty busy!  However, Mr. B is the very best teacher that my daughter has ever seen.  My daughter signed up for their SSAT prep class, and we just found out that she was accepted to the school of her choice!  She personally decided to write Mr. B an email to thank him, which says a lot about how much all of the kids respect his teaching methods.  My daughter was always a bright student, but I noticed her struggling a little.  She seemed to lose her passion for learning.  At first, I chalked it up to some covid-related delays, but we eventually signed her up at another tutoring center, which was very expensive.  My daughter still seemed to cruise along without any noticeable changes.  Finally, we were referred to Accelerations, which was a game changer!  Within 3 weeks of classes with Mr. B, her school teacher noticed her confidence grow.  My daughter started raising her hand in class, actively participating, and was curious again about the world around her.  She now enjoys math, reading and her vocabulary is extensive.  She went from being a little below the curve to one of the top students in her class.  Needless to say, the results speak for themselves.  She will be attending arguably the best school on the island, and I credit the SSAT prep class she took at Accelerations.  Please warn your kids, it is a lot of work!  The packets that Mr. B sends home are thick, but each section is on point for the real test.  Mr. B is one of those cool young teachers who can relate to all ages, and his passion for teaching is evident in minutes.
The rest of the tutors are amazing too!  We’ve been to both the town and Windward Mall locations, and my daughter said Mr. Kawelo is also amazing.  Plan ahead way before the test process as their classes do fill up quickly, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the transformation you’ll see in your kids!
